As with all things Paddy Power, the launch had to be big and loud. What better way to launch Ireland’s biggest bookie than by getting the world’s biggest loser to do the job for us.

Fresh from a Singapore slammer, Nick Leeson was the man for the job and true to form every single one of his charity bets went pear shaped.

We wanted to start with a bang, but unfortunately it was all taken a bit literally and the website went wallop and crashed during the media launch! Things have picked up since then.
